Help support the work of WQLN and their local programming, all while enjoying local and regional craft beers at the historic Concourse at Union Station for the 20th annual Erie Craft Beer Fest.

SATURDAY, APR. 11

The Erie Craft Beer Fest is marking two decades of an event held to celebrate local beers and music, while also raising much-needed funding for public media. Held within the historic space of the Concourse at Union Station, over 20 local and regional craft breweries will be set up and doling out samples, with beer styles to complement anyone's tastes from IPAs to toasty stouts and seasonal special brews. Returning local favorite breweries include Erie Ale Works, Black Monk Brewery, Lavery Brewing Company, Twisted Elk, and more, including four breweries joining the ranks this year: Big Rail Brewing, New Trail Brewing, Smiling Moose Brewing, and Velum Fermentation.

If you'd like to beat the crowds and enjoy early access, VIP admission gets you in an hour early, an Erie Craft Beer Fest pub taster glass, and a commemorative pint glass when you call it a night. Snacks will also be on hand, including fare from Buona Cucina Oils & More, Hillbilly's Jerky, and Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Local brewer and long-time Erie Craft Beer Fest participant Jeff McCullor of Erie Ale Works comments, "The Erie Craft Beer Fest is the first big beer fest of the year and it allows us a chance to hang with our friends and shake some hands. We also take pride in helping our local public media keep doing what they do best."

Proceeds from the fest will directly help support the work of WQLN PBS NPR, Erie's public media source "dedicated to educating, entertaining, and inspiring the community through television, radio, and digital content. Committed to lifelong learning and local storytelling, WQLN connects audiences with news, culture, and public events." Enjoying an evening of music, delicious local beer, and friends is an easy way to help support this much needed resource in Erie.

4 to 7 p.m. (VIP admission at 3 p.m.) // 121 W. 14th St. // $25-$75 // For tickets and info: wqln.org/erie-craft-beer-fest
